A. Duie Pyle had tried different surface-applied concrete hardening solutions for the terminal floors but none of them had been effective in preventing concrete deterioration. While liquid densifers
required constant maintenance, dry-shake hardeners were time-consuming, difficult to install, and exposed work sites to harmful silica dust.
For their newest truck terminal in Albany, New York, A. Duie Pyle wanted a concrete durability solution that would provide full-depth uniform hardening, and protect concrete from abrasion.
Since the primary purpose of the concrete hardening solution was to make the floors resistant to abrasion from vehicular traffic, Gregory Maugeri, CEO of Dry Concrete LLC recommended Hard-Cem. Hard-Cem is
