Krystol Broadcast™

A dry shake crystalline waterproofing treatment that transforms new flatwork concrete into a permanent waterproofing barrier.

How It Works

Krystol Broadcast is troweled in during the final finishing to become an integral part of the concrete that replaces the need for conventional membrane waterproofing systems. Its unique Krystol technology reacts with moisture to form insoluble needle-shaped crystals that fill capillary pores and micro-cracks in the concrete and block the pathways for water and waterborne contaminants.

Unlike other crystalline solutions that react with free lime that eventually depletes over time, Krystol Broadcast chemically reacts with water and unhydrated cement particles. Any moisture introduced over the lifespan of the concrete will initiate crystallization, ensuring permanent waterproofing and watertightness protection.

Why Krystol Broadcast?

Proven over 50 years

Krystol, introduced over 50 years ago as the first crystallization technology, has proven its efficacy through the enduring longevity of the structures where it was used.

Permanent Reactive Technology

Any moisture introduced over the lifespan of the concrete will initiate crystallization, ensuring permanent protection.

Versatile

Krystol Broadcast is troweled in during the final finishing and has a unique fugitive dye to ensure uniform distribution and produces a smooth finish suitable for non-air entrained slabs.

Sustainable

By making the concrete itself the waterproof barrier, Krystol technology can reduce the need for additional materials and processes associated with external waterproofing or watertightness methods. This can result in more sustainable concrete over its lifecycle.
