In a recent feature with Chief Executive, Kryton International CEO Kari Yuers shared how a bold decision to narrow Kryton’s product line from 150 to just 12 sparked a new era of focused growth for the Vancouver-based company.
Yuers, who took on the role in 2005, led the strategic shift to concentrate entirely on Kryton’s core strength—integral concrete waterproofing with its award-winning Krystol technology. The move allowed the company to streamline resources, double down on innovation, and ultimately accelerate global expansion.
Today, Kryton manufactures and distributes across six continents, with its flagship products KIM and Hard-Cem helping customers build concrete structures that last longer, perform better, and reduce long-term costs.
“It was a bold move that my father was not keen on,” Yuers told Chief Executive. “Fortunately, it worked out—we were able to grow faster and create a new category of waterproofing globally.”
