A recent University of Ottawa study highlights the effectiveness of Kryton’s hydrophilic waterproofing admixtures in mitigating alkali-silica reaction (ASR) and improving concrete durability in demanding environments.
The four-year research examined highly reactive aggregates, mix designs, and supplementary cementitious materials (SCM) alongside Kryton’s crystalline waterproofing technology. Findings confirm that Kryton products help reduce ASR-induced cracking, enhance long-term durability, and strengthen concrete structures in extreme conditions.
