What is KAP?

The Krystol Assurance Program (KAP) is a 10-year performance warranty for Kryton’s Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM) waterproofing system.

Unlike Kryton’s standard product warranty, which covers manufacturing defects, the Krystol Assurance Program guarantees that designated concrete portions of the structure that include KIM®, Krytonite Swelling WaterStop® and other Kryton products will remain watertight after construction is complete. It is currently only available in the US and Canada.

Performance Warranty

Covers 10 years, beginning once the structure has been brought to a watertight condition.
If leaks occur during the warranty period, Kryton pays for both labor and materials required to repair them.
Owners can contact Kryton directly for warranty service.

Technical Support

To improve waterproofing performance, Kryton provides extensive project support throughout construction, including:

Concrete mix design consulting
Joint detailing and design review
On-site installer training
Supervision of KIM concrete placement (virtual or on-site, depending on location and availability of Kryton Technical Advisors)
Quality assurance inspections
Documentation, record keeping, and project auditing

This proactive involvement allows Kryton to stand behind the waterproofing system with a performance guarantee rather than simply a product warranty.

The warranty period begins only after the structure is dry and watertight. Kryton assumes responsibility for covered waterproofing repairs at its own expense.

High-rise parking garages
Projects where Kryton can provide direct technical support throughout North America.

De-Risk Your Project

The Krystol Assurance Program is a performance-based waterproofing warranty backed by active quality assurance. Rather than simply replacing defective products, Kryton becomes involved throughout design and construction to help achieve a watertight structure.

Once the building is dry, Kryton guarantees the waterproofing performance of covered KIM-treated areas for 10 years and pays for covered repairs, including both labor and materials, subject to the program’s terms and exclusions.
