Krystol Waterstop Treatment (K-321)

DESCRIPTION
KRYSTOL WATERSTOP TREATMENT is a specially formulated powder containing the proven chemistry of Krystol™ integral crystalline waterproofing. Krystol Waterstop Treatment is a primary component of the Krystol Waterstop System™ and is used to create concrete construction joints that are permanently waterproof. The active ingredients in Krystol Waterstop Treatment combine chemically with water and concrete to form millions of needle-shaped crystals that grow in all directions to fill any capillary pores, cracks and joints that might otherwise allow water to pass.

RECOMMENDED USES

• Use in conjunction with Krystol Waterstop Grout™ as part of the Krystol Waterstop System at all static concrete-to-concrete joints where there is any concern regarding water penetration.
• May be used in some circumstances as a dampproofing treatment on joints not subject to hydrostatic pressure. Consult a Kryton representative for details.

APPLICATION

• Internal Method - For most common applications, carefully follow the instructions detailed in Technical Bulletin #103
• External Method - For applications where the Internal Triangle Method can not be used, follow the instructions detailed in Technical Bulletin #104

PACKAGING
Krystol Waterstop Treatment is packaged in the following standard sizes:

• 11 pound (5kg) pails
• 55 pound (25kg) pails

COVERAGE
One 55 lb. (25kg) pail of Krystol Waterstop Treatment will treat 330 lineal feet of joint (100 meters).

PRECAUTIONS

• Carefully follow the instructions in Technical Bulletins #103 or #104(A) or #104(B)
• Krystol Waterstop Treatment becomes caustic when mixed with water or moisture. Use suitable protective clothing and eye protection.
