Other Krystol™ Waterproofing Projects
JFK Pumping Station
Seville Central Mix, Freeport, NY
BACKGROUND
Concrete structure is 89 feet long, 23 feet wide and 20 feet deep. At first the contractor opted to use a competitor's product for the base slab. However, considerable cracking resulted. In 1997, The Crystal Group, LLC was contracted to provide Kryton's Krystol waterproofing materials to repair the cracked slab. Construction continued using Krystol Admixture System™ (KIM™ Admixture) treated concrete in place of competitor's waterproofing systems.
SOLUTION
Cracks were repaired using Kryton's Krystol Crack Repair System™. The remainder of the 15" concrete walls and suspended roof slab was poured using the Krystol Admixture System™ (KIM™ Admixture). To date, the pump house construction is performing perfectly.
