Four Masters Monument & Diamond

BACKGROUND
A major clean-up of Donegal Town Center in Ireland was undertaken by contractors and council employees in November 2000. The dirt, moss and algae that were built up on the structure were unbelievable. People had great difficulty reading any of the names inscribed on the monument.

SOLUTION
I.C.C.T. Ltd. and Donegal Vermin Control Co. were contracted to clean and seal the monument. Spray & Shine was used with a pressure washer to clean the monument , the brick patio and the surrounding walls. The results of the cleaning were excellent. The people in the town were delighted at how clean and beautiful the Diamond and Monument now looks. After cleaning, two coats of Krystol Hydrostop were applied to the brick to seal and protect the structure from weather for years to come.

Krystol Epox-15, a water-based epoxy primer, was applied. Three coats of Krystol Epox-9 were applied over the primer to provide a finish that will last many years and require minimal maintenance.
