Don't Take Our Word for it...

At Kryton, we think our concrete waterproofing systems are the world’s best, bar none. But why take our word for it? Kryton products have been subjected to rigorous external testing worldwide. This third-party endorsement is your guarantee that our products do what we say they will and that they meet all relevant building codes.

Our concrete waterproofing systems have been reviewed, tested and approved by the world’s most respected testing and inspection authorities:

  • British Board of Agrément (BBA) - Krystol Internal Membrane – High Strength (KIM-HS) has received an Agrément Certificate.
  • European CE mark - KIM-HS has qualified to use the CE Mark which means it meets all applicable European Union directives, safety guidelines and quality standards.
  • International Code Council - Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) - Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM) was the first chemical concrete admixture certified by ICC-ES, a non-profit U.S. organization that reviews and evaluates building products, materials and methods to ensure they comply with applicable building codes.
  • Romanian Ministry of Public Works, Transportation and Habitation - KIM, Krystol T1 &T2 and several other Kryton products have been certified in Romania.
  • NSF International - Krystol is certified non-toxic by NSF, a widely respected worldwide certification provider that develops national standards for food, indoor air, environment and water.
  • NCB India – KIM received a test certificate as a “waterproofing compound by the National Council for Cement and Building Materials.
  • Province of British Columbia (Ministry of Municipal Affairs – Building Standards Branch) – Krystol T1 & T2 accepted under the building code.
  • United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) - Krystol T1 and T2 are safe for use in potable water structures such as water reservoirs, concrete rain water collection structures, fish ponds, and recreational facilities.
    Bureau de normalization du Quebec – Krystol T1 & T2 meet BNQ standards for contact with potable water.
  • Whatcom County Health Department, Washington, USA - has stated that KIM may be used to ensure a watertight seal of septic tanks and pump chambers.
  • Washington State Department of Transportation, USA – The (WSDOT) approved Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM) for use in WSDOT projects.
  • Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LARR) – LARR certifies KIM is compliant with Los Angeles City Building Codes.
  • Chinese National Standards – Beijing Building Material Quality Supervision Test Center certifies that Krystol & KIM have passed the Chinese National Standard.
  • Kuwait Ministry of Public Works - certifies that KIM, Krystol T1, and Krystol T2 have been approved by the Kuwait Ministry of Public Works.

Recognition and Awards

Who says hard work doesn’t pay off? Kryton International is honored to have been recognized by our peers, our industry and the business community.

  • Ron Yuers, Kryton’s Chairman of the Board, received a certificate of recognition for his service during two terms as President of the Vancouver Board of Trade from 1985-88 and 1989-92.
  • Ron Yuers served as Chairman of the Free Trade Committee responsible for presenting recommendations to the Canadian Chamber of Commerce on the benefits of bilateral trade between Canada and the USA. These recommendations were incorporated into a Federal Government white paper on that was the basis for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
  • Ron was a member of two Team Canada Trade Missions, traveling with the Prime Minister of Canada to India in 1996 and China in 2001.
  • Kari Yuers, Kryton’s president and CEO, received the Award of Merit for her outstanding contribution to the improvement of construction specifications in Canada from CSC (Construction Specifications Canada) in 2002 and CSI (Construction Specifications Institute in 2004.
  • Kari received a 2003 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in the Business-to-Business category, Pacific Region.
  • In 2004, Kari was appointed a Director of the Leadership & Management Development Council of British Columbia.
  • In 2005, Kari received an American Concrete Institute (ACI) Young Member Award for Professional Achievement for her contributions to the institute and the concrete industry.
  • Kari was named one of the Journal of Commerce’s Top Women in Construction for 2005
